  • i keep popping up trying different things what is the best way to swing a bat in slow pitch softball could someone help me

  • Swing it really hard. Remember that in slow pitch softball all the power is coming from the swing. Very little power is coming from the kinetic energy of the ball and bat collision as in fast pitch. Form is very important since you have to power through the ball and transfer the energy from the swing to the ball. This is why players with upper body strength hit softballs so far, but may not be able to hit baseballs well.

  • His Name is Rick Down, and he is a major league hitting coach, he has worked for the Yankees, Mets, Red Sox, and various other teams. You can google him.

  • Thats a good coach! I was fortunate to have a couple coaches like this guy coming up.

  • That guy thinks at about a thousand miles an hour.

  • get your knee as low as possible while not dipping your shoulders back, that's how your gonna get power with the wood bat. trust me i did it and i'm our teams best hitter and i'm only 5'11 and 130 pounds.

  • Ken Griffey Jr. stood straight up in the air and drifted into the pitch without bending his legs. There are 1000 ways to approach the ball. Keeping your head inline with the middle of your pelvis throughout the entire swing is the key

  • Good coaching

  • @wildirish2828 Most likely you're swinging the bat sort of like a golf club so i would suggest keeping your hands closer to your chest when you swing so you don't "cast" the bat. This technique keeps your bat in the strike zone for the maximum amount of time and will give you a better chance of hitting the ball.

  • @wwfe123 GET SOME CLIPS UP..IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU MIGHT BE PULLING THE KNOB OF THE BAT DIRECTLY to the ball..the barrel must turn and whip

  • Great approach. Check us out "highoutputsports" on youtube. Perfect platform for things like this.
