thanks alot for giving the dimensions i be doing this project soon thanks man you rock with your simple but good advice , how do i know how big to build my screen? what projector do you recomend me ,also does it has to be very dark? and if the projector is hanging how do i connect dvd or video game consoles i dont want the cables on the way..please give me some adivse''URPREY'

@cadaverock the size of the screen depends on the available area you have - you don't want too large a screen in too small an area. You'll need to use an online calculator to figure out how far back you need to be from your screen given the size you make it.
The cables are run through the ceiling and back into a closet where they are connected to my surround receiver. That does all of the switching between devices.

@URPREY i have a 140 inch screen and playing 3d games and its amazing in 3d. pretty sad lot of missing out

is laminated better than a white fabric? also what did you use to hold the laminate wha was that brown stuff? like plywood

@cadaverock they both have their advantages and disadvantages. Fabric screens are generally much more expensive and less durable.
Laminate is much less expensive to build. The laminate was attached to a sheet of luan using spray adhesive.
