I've taken a bit of pride in having a rather versatile group of videos. If there is any doubt as to just how versatile it is, this latest addition should be a confirmation.

=====

This handsome songstress used the stage name 'Marion Harris'. She was born in 1897. Her real name is Mary Ellen Harrison. Marion recorded many songs during her career, some of which would have been considered 'naughty' in her day. The fact that she seems to appear 'bra less', I'm sure, only added to her popularity.

=====

I wasn't around in the 20s, so somebody help me out here. I know they had girdles and corsets back then. Surely they had brassieres, too. They must have. The flappers threw them away and wore binders, instead. My, my, my, what has this world 'come to'?

=====

I don't think Dolly could wear a binder. If she ever did get it tight enough, I bet her jugs would pop out on her backside.

  • A 1920's songbird

  • It's interesting to see just what 'sensual' was in those days. Marion probably had more suitors than she could ' shake a stick at'.

  • Very entertaining!! Thanks for the upload.

  • Thank you, too.

  • I'm glad I wasn't around to listen to this kind of music but I'm sure if I was, I would have liked it back then. It's nice to hear the music my grandmother listened to...but you know what? She actually liked Elvis!

    I don't know where you found this video but I'm sure it's a rare one and a great share!

  • Perhaps you haven't heard a lot of music from this era. Some of it is quite good and will endure long after this contemporary 'stuff'' is forgotten.

    As for your grandmother, it seems the lady had 'moxie', a desirable trait to be sure.

    23 skidoo to you, kid!

  • This is different, & I like it. I've always been attracted to songs & videos made before I was born. I particularly like some of the old Al Jolson stuff. A ❺★★★★★ video. They call it the Roaring Twenties for a reason, some of which you mention in the more info area........John

  • my grandmother passed a year ago this november....this video reminds me of stories I've been told about her for some reason.
