Yes i agree, many people think that technique is enough when practising martial arts but keeping your body in good condition and pushing your flexibility is far more paramount. Well done to these kids they should be proud.

I'm guessing you haven't studied TKD in Korea recently.

That technique goes by several names in English: Back Hook Kick, Spin Hook Kick, Spin Whip Kick, etc...
I've heard the following Korean term: Dwi Hooryo Chagi, and in this video it sounds like Hik Chook which is not one I've heard before.

Very nice kicks. I practice kenpo, and isshin-ryu, and very rarely see that level of flexibility.

This is pretty much the norm for Taekwondo poomsae/forms competition in Korea. If you've ever seen the Taekwondo Hanmadang nearly everyone looks like this, even the youngest competitors.
