  • so when should a rott have a tail or when should it be cut? why do they cut them in the first place?

  • @getchapull336100 it's bad for the hips and no reason at all to cut the tail now. before it's they was working dogs - pulled the cart, herding livestocks.

  • Is there a difference between German Rotts and American Rotts?

  • they look like teddy bear

  • @Hendrik1293 1 rottweiler, 1 breed. there are german standards and american standards, having different looks through selective breeding. Germany banned tail docking which is why rotties from germany have their tails. when people say german rottie and american rottie you're thinking they're different dogs in the same family. No, a rottweiler is a rottweiler, looks is based upon bloodline and selective breeding.

  • @iDrinkDosEquis German Rottweilers have a bigger head than the American Rottweiler. But they are smaller than the American Rottweiler. The American Rottweiler is a little bigger. (I think) correct me if I'm wrong. Also German Rottweilers tails are not supposed to be docked because that's how the are showed. For American Rottweilers do dock because they look awesome when they are docked (my opinion at least)

  • whats the difference between a German Rottweiler x American Rottweiler

  • German Rottweiler breeders tend to not dock the tail, but American Rottweiler fanciers always dock the tail.

  • Great video! I have two German Rottweilers, a male and female! I am not a fan of how the American Rottweiler looks. Its face is to narrow and its to tall for me. Either way Rottweilers are great dogs when trained properly and this litte guy cracks me up!

  • If a person does research on the rottweiler they will see their is a difference between a german rottweiler and an american rottweiler. Just think about labs. They have an english and an american lab.

  • @TypeDoubleR thats cuz thats what your used to looking at!!

  • Just to clear the air here, yes all Rotties are of German blood. BUT when someone says "German Rottweiler" they mean ADKC (German Kennel Club Standard) Rottweiler, which usually has 1) a bigger head and body and 2) stand a little shorter than AKC (American) standard breed. Also German breeds more frequently have copper or darker shades of tan spots. 2 cents.
