This took place just outside my front door around 5:00 pm on July 16th. The Red Velvet Ant is actually a female wingless wasp. It is fairly rare to find a female and even more rare to see one walking around in the sunlight as they are generally nocturnal. They are also know as the Cow Killer due to one of the most painful stings of any insect in the world. The Black Widow speaks for itself. One of the most venomous spiders in the world. Actual video follows the slide show.

  • worst insect sting on earth....guaranteed. even a newborn little tiny one will swell you arm to the shoulder and hurt forever it seem. horrible venom. the ant is rock hard and if you stomp it, it will merely crawl out of its dent in the ground and crawl off. Only way to kill one is pour gas on it and light it up or get a hammer and let it get on a rock and smash the shit out or it.

  • hate those ants follow them to there hole pour gas in it then light ive been stung it hurts for years

  • Really Random...................................

  • I was a little surprised. The video was not very clear, but it looked like the black widow won. She must have know just where to bite to get around that hard exoskeleton. I put a velvet ant in a jar with a Japanese hornet years ago and the ant killed the Japanese hornet. Actually they killed each other since the velvet ant died a couple of hours later.

  • @AlexGamerMan must have graduated from second grade. He not only knows words up to four letters, but he knows how to add "ing" on the end.

  • I don't know about the rarity of the "cow ant" (that's what we call them in the South), because I see them all the time when I'm outside...maybe rare where you live, not so much here though?

  • that music made me have to go take a shit! Lame!!

  • @Sidrea247 This one must of the dark side :D

  • @Sidrea247 Classic! lmao

  • cool light saber, oh wait, thats your dislike bar.
