Solder fume extractor made from the fan and top case of an old OCZ PSU. Here I show the unit drawing smoke away from an incense stick. The top casing of the old PSU works very nicely as a free-standing mounting for the extractor.

Next, I have to fit a carbon filter to absorb all the flux vapour...

  • use a carbon filter from a fish supply store to filter the fumes.

  • This is not right.. u NEED a filter to get rid of the particles that could be dangerous to inhalate, this just put the air from one side to the other, totaly useless.

  • Nice , but your solder Fumee go another side ...in the room , check my new designed litle device it aspire fumee and filter it , so no fumee go another side like you youtube.com /watch?v=-jUhxHYdEm8
