perhaps the best original scenario ever wrotten.

@9029738 Oh so you agree that Lenny did kill his wife? Well look at how he explains it. He conditions himself to know the pictures are there. He conditions himself to write things down. You can't condition until after the incident, because before it happened, he had his memory.

Guy Pierce is really good here. I don't think the ending monologue would be as...great as it is, without his saddened yet complacent tone that gradually grows into acceptance.

how do v noe teddy was not lying???

This is such an amazing intro! Wait. ending. No! It's the... WTF?

Okay, please im begging for someone to differ but to me theres a hole in the plot of this movie, How could Lenny have conditioned himself to replace his memories of him killing his wife, if these events occured after the incident

This is all ambiguous at best, but I think after he killed Teddy, he'll mark that he did it on the back of the photo. Although Teddy raised a good point early in the film, he had to skip town or someone's gonna start asking questions, specifically towards a memory guy who's wandering around L.A. playing detective. I think the cops or the Jimmy's people would've caught up with Leonard eventually. Possibly spending the rest of his days in a hospital, not knowing whats going on or what happened.

The line "You're a John G, so you can be my John G" sends chills down my spine every time I hear it.

@iaminfconsciousness personally, I think that lenny did invent the Sammy Jenkis story to assuage his guilt and then began to believe it.
"I have to believe in a world outside my own mind".
