Friday April 20th, 2009, at Northtown High School: Lunchtime


Nick~ Hey Sel. (Gives Selena a hug)

Selena~ Hey Nicky. (hugs Nick)

Nick~ So. Are you eating lunch with me or the robots?

Selena~ Nick. They are not robots they just, I don't know, happen to act like robots. Anyway, I'm actually eating lunch with Mr. Davis. I got caught with David so it was either that or detention.

Nick~(sad) Oh. David's your boyfriend right?

Selena~ For the 9 millionth time this year, yes. (laughs)

Nick~ (still sad) (fake laughs)

Selena~ Well, I'll talk to you later. I got to go before I get a detention for being late to lunch.(laughs) Bye. (runs to Mr. Davis' class)

Nick~ (says to self) Yeah, wouldn't want that to happen. (goes to sit with friends)

After school

Selena~ (in a deep voice) Nicholas! Put your hands behind your back. (normal voice) Your under arrest for not waiting for me after class.

Nick~ Sorry. I thought David was going to walk you home.

Selena~ What? You always walk me home. When has David ever walked me home?

Nick~ Well, he hasn't but I just thought, I don't know.

Selena~ Nick, are you ok?

Nick~ (fake smiles) Yeah, I'm fine. Race ya! (runs off)

Selena~ (catches up) (beats Nick to his house)

Nick~ (out of breath) You..... cheated.

Selena~ How?

Nick~ You run track.

Selena~ I still don't get how I cheated.

Nick~ You just did. (laughs)

Selena~ (laughs)

Joe~ (comes outside) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Why are we laughing?

Selena~ No reason Joseph. (goes inside)

Nick~ Yeah, no reason Joseph. (goes inside)

Joe~ Ok, then. (gets in car, goes to pick Demi up from work)

Selena~ So. I have no homework. Do you?

Nick~ Sel. We have all the same classes.

Selena~ Oh yeah. So what do you wanna- (gets cut off by cell phone) {Romeo take me somewhere we can be alone, I'll be waiting, all there's left to do is run} Hey babe....... Yeah........What? Why?........Not feelin' it? David?.......Overexaggerate?.......You know what? Go ahead. I don't care. (hangs up)

Nick~ Sel, you ok?

Selena~ (starts crying) D- dav- david....b-bro-ke...up wi-th...me for....CYNTHIA!

Nick~ (hugs her) Shh. It's ok.

Selena~ NO IT'S NOT! I thought he loved me. He told me so many times. I thought we would be together longer than that. He even said he wanted to marry me!

Nick~ Well, I guess he didn't see how lucky he was to have a beautiful, smart, sweet girl.

Selena~ Thanks Nick. (weakly smiles)

Nick~ No problem. Trust me, you'll get over him pretty soon

Kashley~ (walks downstairs)

Ashley~ Sel, what's wrong.

Selena~ That jerkface David broke up with me for Cynthia.

Ashley~ Aw, sweety. Do you want me and Demi to go beat him up?

Selena~ No, that's ok. I'm gonna go home and clean up a bit. I'll come over later.

Kevin~ Yeah. Your mascara is like ALL over your face.

Selena~ Thanks Kev. I'll be back. (leaves)
