Demonstration Bus Exclusive! : NovaBus LFS Articulated Demonstration Bus #0054 On The M15

Taken at Allen Street & Grand Street Not the best shot, but its good enough, i'm sick at the moment but I took my chances.

This here is a NovaBus Low Floor Standard Articulated Demonstration Bus being testing by the MTA on the M15 Route. The MTA has been looking for new artics since New Flyer and MTA have some difficulties. This bus will be in Manhattan for a few days then it will be in The Bronx area testing on the Bx19. These buses look very slick.

Demo Bus #0055 is due to be in the New York City Area at February 9th, subject to change. It will be similar to this one but in Suburban Style, to be tested on Express routes in Staten Island & The Bronx.

The bus has the following engine Specs

Cummins ISL 330 HP
Voith D864.5

Now that I made a slight timetable for this area, I may be able to get some interior videos of the bus! Its not a guarantee, its a possibility.

@mtattrain - Totally disagree on that note. This one doesnt have a ROOF HVAC whereas the current model is more streamlined and has a roof HVAC!

Actually it is possible, The artics that currently run on the M15 passes vehicles quiet nicely

The M15 should have been the first line to have SBS service. Traffic along 1st and 2nd Avenues is worse then Fordham Road.

I hope these LFS/LFSAs will come to Toronto by 2013-2016. We're flooded by so many Orion VIIs and retired all New Looks.

this was something to see but this white all around looks good to me and as for 0059....The Windows make the bus look better then this EXT. look

too bad they took the njtransit articulated buses away from kearny because that huge type of bus has caused many accidents in tight turned streets

@Caitsith810 i think rear hvac works better then the roof ones in my opinion. i have been on buses that have roof hvac and they dont do as well as the rear ones do
