Steorn Magnetic Toy Replication

Toys similar to this were demonstrated by Steorn. The energy input to the system appears to be output to the system. I cannot say if this is demonstrating the steorn affect , but it is a very curious effect i have created here.

yes , a longer running one is possible with extra energy input, just wobbling the stator 1 or 2 mm from centre is enough to get continuos rotation, i am trying to figure out a way to measure force.

Magnets are just invisible springs, returning as work or electricity. You'd have to add the energy of push the lever back and forth - Kcal's or Btu's, your choice.

Could you use a third magnet in the wheel. All three spaced evenly might work.

Could it work if you used a 2nd unit back to back with the first each one retering the slide?

for the measurement of force you could try a crank hooked up to a small model electric motor to drive the sator, linked to a multimeter to measure the input. And exactly the same type of motor, to act as a generator, linked to the shaft and again linked to a another multimeter to measure the output?
