    I don't know what or who jeeves is, but just thought of checking if Wikipedia has pages about these emoticons, as they're called, and there're several. Here's one, and it provides links to other related pages.

    I'd use either common Western style, or the ASCII art one. There're links for pages for both of these in the above page.
