you need to turn off AA.
8800gt is more than capable of playing this.

ive been quite annoyed that oblivion runs so crap on my new comp (q6600, 2x8800gt, 4g ram) regardless of settings horse riding especially was jerky
anyway after all hope wa slost a month later i reentered that world of oblivion. Wow with a few init changes im now running @ 1920x1200 everything max (all shadows maxxed, hdr. max view dist)
im getting 60-120fps the whoel time now, the lowest i saw it go was 44, horse riding is smooth as

Try going into the Nvidia Control Panel (assuming you have the latest version), going into the Manage 3D Settings menu, look under the Program Settings menu and find Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Once you find Oblivion look at the Specify Settings and find SLI Performance Mode. Use the drop down menu and select Force Alternate Frame Rendering 1 and save the settings.

On this video only yes.
I haven't played Oblivion seriously mostly because I have/had been playing Heroes V and working so much on my website. I also lost the original save files from a year ago when a 300GB Maxtor bite the dust.

maybe im posting in the wrong video /shrug , i thought you said you were using your mothers 26" lcd.......
do you notice large slowdown in oblivion when riding your mount? regardless of video quality the horse riding on my system is choppy as hell
-
That is my 19 inch screen's max resolution. I'm lucky I've had the thing for about three years now! Obviously prices have dropped since on LCDs. I'm thinking about buying *two* 22 inch LCD screens later this year. Also my base system is older, see my channel sidebar for my system's stats.

so what is the native resolution of the monitor? dont be afraid to push it to whatever that is.........i watch your video's out of interest because im also runing 2x8800gt (q6600 +4gddr2) , but im running oblivion at 1920x1200 and getting 40-50fps outdoors (it might drop to 30ish) and max indoors
y is this vid sooooooo soooooo laggy could it be ur cam or it could be ur LCD or it could be ur resolution plz hit back

Both, I was getting between 20 and 30 FPS. FRAPS would not make sense to use when I'm already getting barely playable FPS. I don't usually (ever) play at that resolution though.
