Can you tell me the names (in hanzi, Chaozhou, and Mandarin) of the fiddles they are playing? I think they are touxian, yehu, and tiqin. Is there one called erxian, or is that the other name for the touxian?
Are you talking about the "tro" or the plucked instrument (zither?).
From your page, I understand that you have alot of Khmer pride. Don't get me wrong, I do too. But sometimes Khmer people have to face that Cambodia was a cultural melting pot. For example, our instrument the "kong" is adapted from the Chinese "gong".

Errr... I don't know which teacher you are referring to. My Teacher is Yang Hao Ran, the man playing percussion. If I did not remember wrongly, Mr Yang Xiu Qing is still in coma in hospital... I'm not in the video, the person who put up this video was the one recording & none of the people who have commented before are a member of Thau Yong.
