"A Bit of Nostalgia" was written and filmed as a video in 2009 when Joe Balaz revisited a music track that was given to him by musician and artist Peter Chamberlain. Balaz first met Chamberlain in Honolulu, Hawai'i in 2001. Both artists began to collaborate with each other in live music and poetry performances. Balaz and Chamberlain recorded the music-poetry cd "Domino Buzz" in Chamberlain's home studio in Palolo, Hawai'i in 2004. The cd featured Balaz's poetry. Most of the music on the cd was composed by Chamberlain. "Domino Buzz" was released in Greater Cleveland in 2006. While collaborating and recording in 2004, Chamberlain gave Balaz a cd of music tracks that he had previously recorded in Watkins Glen, New York in the early 1980s. "A Bit of Nostalgia" was written to one of the tracks. The music is by Peter Chamberlain, Peter Bombar, and Tim Bombar. The video and performance reading with lighting effect was filmed by Mary Ellen Derwis in Brecksville, Ohio in 2009.
