C-17 Globemaster III Demonstration

2008 McGuire AFB Open House & Air Expo
McGuire AFB, New Jersey
Sunday June 1, 2008

IN THIS VIDEO, watch as this McGuire-based C-17 is put through a spectacular demonstration over their home base and home crowd. Take note that the C-17 did not take off from Runway 24, but off of taxiway Lima.

Like what you've seen? Well, if you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), a much more easier to navigate "version" of all of my videos, and/or everything there is related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take time to check out Steve's Airshow World at http://www.stevesairshow.com .

  • Malaysian shud b made aware of & proposed w/ dis fine Acraf, it is not muc mor expensiv den the already chosen.Wats important is dat it carries muc mor payload & capacity, bzyds flying a tad faster & cutting down travel time.

  • I spent my last year in the Air Force stationed at McGuire, and was discharged in September of 1967, the month the C-141 was made operational. Prior to that, we mostly had C-130's and an occasional C-124. What I really enjoyed at McGuire was being able to fly the Aero Club's T-34 to visit the Air Force museum in Dayton, Ohio, and then to Logan International in Boston to visit relatives. Those were the fun days of my 5 years in the Air Force.

  • thats because the few c-17's he RAF have are being worked to death flying back and forth between the UK and IraQ and now Afghanistan on a daily basis....
