On Monday, August 1st, 2011, CAPITAL PUNISHMENT, the first stop in the Pro-Am Summer League City Series went down in DC. Featuring top basketball players from the West Coast's Drew League vs the East Coast's Goodman League, NBA All-Stars to streetball legends, the game certainly didn't disappoint, with the Drew League and their MVP Kevin Durant winning by just 1 point. DarkWing Productions was in the building for this epic event, the 1st of it's kind, but hopefully not the last.

  • @DarkWingProd lol, no. I don't believe Kobe can beat a whole team alone.

  • @Nakama4Ever Nah, Kobe can't beat a GOOD team alone. I think he's still good enough to single handedly lead them past a mediocre squad, but a squad as good the Mavs, not happening.

  • @DarkWingProd Melo is nice. If the lockout ends before november 1st, I'm sure you'll see the knicks do well with Melo, Billups, and Amare. Yeah, D Rose couldn't beat the Heat alone. It's always a team game. I believe that's why the Lakers got swept. Kobe is the best player in the league but he can't beat a whole team alone.

  • @Nakama4Ever Wade is an excellent player no doubt, but I have him behind Kobe as far as shooting guards go (but not by much). And Melo plays for my hometown Knicks, so I'm a bit biased, but I still don't see him as top 5. I don't think he affects the game the way a top 5 player should.

I think D Rose is already having a Durant-like impact. Unfortunately, he couldn't carry his team past the Heat, but hey, the man did win MVP this year.

  • @DarkWingProd Thank you! Even though everyone dislikes/hates LeBron, he's still one of the best players in the league. My top 5 would be Kobe, Wade, Melo, LeBron and Durant. You don't think Wade is deserving of top 5? There are plenty of great players. D. Rose will start to dominate the league soon just like Durant has.

  • @Nakama4Ever In the whole league? Whoa that's a loaded question. I can't pick one, so I'll go with the usual suspects - Durant, Kobe, LeBron (as much as I dislike there's no denying he's a top 5 player), CP3, and Dwight Howard. Who you got?

  • @DarkWingProd lol i know. who do you think is the best player in the league?

  • @Nakama4Ever They were going at each other all game too, in a playful yet professional manner

  • They were playing around from even in warmups, but please believe they were going at each other's necks. Harden is gonna be a problem (as if he isn't already), definitely the Thunder's starting 2 guard next year, and a future all-star. He's THAT talented.

  • @3:15 loll james harden threw the ball at kevin durant
