Unfortunately I missed the first minute and a half of this as it dawned on me that I should record Yuta's performance as well as sit agape watching it in awe, but I still managed to catch some highlights. This was an awesome routine and I'm really glad I caught any of it.
@meyerjac thanks loads! After some practice I now got my buzzsaw spinning forth and back again! :D so cool :D next step. do this with chains *-) x

@LostMyIdentity
Woolsey has a great tutorial on all of the buzzsaw variations in the Adventures in Poi DVD. Only on the DVD tho, not at the web site.

Yuta is amazing, hands down, no question! I can only hope to be as good as he is one day!

He did great. I mean come on, the video was taken from the back, most performances of any type look best from the front. I thought he was awesome as usual. He is too good for me to be that picky about one short video of him with that big a crowd. :)

@WhitmanGSC Nah, he was still very good, I know what you mean though, his signiature rhythm and smoothness just weren't there in this spin, it looked like he was almost rushing, rather than taking his time with it. Yuta is definitely NOT bad at poi, this spin just wasn't his best, and everybody gets that sometimes. This camera is also very good at making even slight imperfections in planes very obvious. Oh, and what did you mean by Nick Woolsey's "plagiarizing hands"?
