I have a 997 GT2 with a sports package from the factory giving it 550 HP. When i'm out on the track i don't even push the car but it still feels like a rocket. I haven't even put it in sixth gear in the back stretch at vir and it still flies. I don't get it down half way in fifth gear yet. Porsche made the GT2 to be a racecar, not luxury.

How would a GT2 smoke a GT??? I have a 997 GT2 and I know what it can and cannot do!!! The GT is a V10 5.7L normally aspirated mid engine with 612 hp. The turbo lag on the 520 hp GT2 makes it more difficult to control in corners. Also remember the GT is lighter at 1,380 kg vs GT2 at 1,440 kg. And yes, the driver would matter!!!

Dude you dont know what youre talking about..
the GT is porsches TOP car with the best engine and suspension. But the camera car is an excellent driver..

Im pretty sure a GT2 would be able to smoke a Carrera GT on most tracks.

One big "limitation" of the CGT is tires - PS2s vs. PS Cups that can be cost effectively run on a GT-2. Video was from a stock GT-2 (no mods) on PS2s (instead of cups).

Was this with speedventures? I was at laguna on nov 4 and had a similar looking cgt there.
