How do we deal with difficult partner/employees?
Problems are a way of life. So is difficult partner and employees. Our task is to begin to identify the following things:
First, quantify what the challenges are. A lot of time, we don't even know what the challenges are and we perceive that it is a problem because of the lack of communication.
Second, once we identify what the challenges are, ask them for three solutions. This does not mean that we will act on their suggestion. At lease, you have a great perspective of where they're coming from. More importantly, you will not left with the only one trying to solve the problem.
Ask lots of questions by seeking first to understand.
How did we get here?
What do you and I need to learn in order for us to solve these challenges?
What/who do you think will allow us to cross this bridge together?
What does the end result looks like for you?
