@tyrant1505 *hence he was given this opportunity in a non cap England match at a young age. In my opinion, the only reason he didn't make progress is because he was forced to retire. In your opinion it's because he didn't have enough natural strength, but you presented it as fact rather than your own opinion, or at least that's how it came across. Now go shout at your poor wife some more.

And we're talking natural growth hormone Mr. Pedant.

@tyrant1505 OK angry man, calm down and have a camomile. The statement you made: "Just didn't have the natural strength to go with his speed and ball skills, and it was a real shame." was utter bollocks. It was a real shame as he was forced to retire when reaching his prime, whether he would have enough natural strength at the top level is now entirely hypothetical. The only certain is that he was never limited in opportunity due to a lack of strength during the time he was playing, hence he

@jamin50 Didn't say he didn't progress due SOLELY to lack of strength, "that's bollocks" mate!!!! . Irrelevant of "juice", (what we talking mr expert - HGH, anabolics, CNS enhancers etc), his parents didn't give him the genetics of other guys, better than some and vice versa. Unfortunately you only need ONE injury at this level and it could foster others, shame! Yes, enjoyed Paramore's play, a toiler! Have a real case when you say someone's "talking bollocks mate" when you spout it yourself!

@tyrant1505 That's bollocks mate! Django just wasn't pumped up on the juice like many others. He didn't get the chance because he was forced to retire when nearing his peak as a player. Had he not, perhaps he would have had more chances, then again, perhaps not! It's all hypothetical, but he didn't not progress due to a lack of strength, that's for sure! He managed to play his way into a very physical back row and displace a number 8 who was a legend in the world game (Junior).

A massive loss to English rugby. This man was way ahead of the time in England at that time and might now have been at his peak. Such a shame he and Simpson-Daniel never graced England for years, though JSD is still the best wing in England and hopefully will get another chance.

Being coached by him now in singapore.

@hgrosvenor no way! same!

he's now my rugby coach in singapore
Just didn't have the natural strength to go with his speed and ball skills, and it was a real shame. Conversely, our problem at the moment is all bulk/no speed and power. I really hope Dan Ward-Smith can have a long run without injuries. He is powerful and quick and hands down better than Nick Easter and Haskell, who looks the part but isn't anywhere near IN MY OPINION! Good luck James! Whadayareckon?

When Wasps experimented with Haskell at 8 recently he didn't do very well - but he could come to do the job in time. At the moment he's definitely a 6 though and is beginning to come back into form. Sadly I think DWS missed his chance with that injury at the end of 2006 - great player but not getting any younger. Tom Guest and Hugo Ellis show a lot of promise for the future - meanwhile Easter hasn't let anybody down and has a great rugby brain (most of the time!)
