WOW! I can't believe how easy it was for you to get an NG tube into her. When my doctor tried to put one in me when I was in the hospital to have a GJ tube put in initally, they could only do it while I was laying down with my head a little bit angled upward. Otherwise, it felt as though i couldn't breathe due to swallowing so quickly and frequently to get the whole tube down. Eventually,I was able to have mine removed after 4 days.

We use to blow air in and listen with a sythescope to make sure the placement was right. My daughter was probably about this age and starting doing her NG by herself....she is now 22 and still uses a NG tube!
