I doubt that they're being rebellious for the sake of it. You make a good point in saying that there are plenty of other countries much worse off than the United States, but I don't think that means we need to just settle with our problems.

I'd rather be here than a war-torn third world country, but in all honesty, our government is corrupt and does need fixing.

I disagree, as citizens I feel we all have a obligation to protest the government, regardless of the severity of corruption.

This song may sound childish and stupid, and to be completly honest it is, but if it gets people to challenge the powers that be, it definatly serves its purpose. If you want a nofx song with a little more substance I suggest you listen to a nofx song called "The Idiots are Taking Over" It delves deeper into this shithole we call america.
