That's terrible. I wouldn't know what to do if I'd gotten stuck in a strange country. Luckily my hometown is an hour away by ferry from Nassau so I'd gotten one the next ferry available.

Just wondering. What was the actual stated time that the ship was supposed to depart at?

@judy785 If memory serves, all-aboard was 30 minutes prior to the departure time. Can't remember the exact times.

I was on a cruise in Oct. and was called out of my stateroom by Security from the ship. Had an issue with a retailer in port not charging me in the correct currency. Was told it was ok to go fix it and they had the doors closed and were going to leave us but at the last minute opened the doors and let us on we weren't happy about the sitiuation and actually had a meeting with the upper staff members later that evening. Let's just say they took care of us because their security screwded up!!!

What probably happened is that a pilot boat went out to drop them off and pick up the port pilot, however I have a video which I should upload of a family being left in Mexico.

Early is on-time; on-time is late; late is a dice roll--it's as simple as that. The ship's company has no ill feeling for you when you are late, and you have no reason for ill feeling for their leaving without you.
