If this guy knew anything about thermodynamics. He would've known that the aluminum alloy film has a faster heat transfer rate than the compound under it. Now he's actually slowing down the heat transfer from the die, to the heat sink. Good job mate.

The thermal compound that Microsoft uses is cheap, it's all dry a chunky.
