  • Lots of positive feedback, lots of positive feedback.

Ok, question for you: What about Nf4 to support e6 and attack the white bishop? It also lets the rook support the queen.

Go easy on me as I'm not the best chess player.

  • @ledgeleaper can you give a time stamp for me to click, it'll make it easy on me to go directly there. thanks.

  • @thechesswebsite at 3:20 after bishop g6 black can move knight to f4. Is this a possibility? Thanks Kevin.

  • @ledgeleaper similar to someone else's question if the knight moves away from his own king then he's hanging himself. White can just capture Bxf7 and black's big defense in the knight is gone. White will easily win.

  • at 3:20 why wasnt Nxe3 possible?

  • @Orgyilkos sorry for the last explanation. If Nxe3, then 22. Bxf7 Kf8 23. Qxd4 Rxd4 24. Bxe3 threatening Bxh6 (mate), also threatening Bxd4 and black stil will lose his bishop. Black is hopeless. Hope this helps.

  • at 5:02 why didn't white move his bishop to b2 instead?

  • The reason he didn't play bb2 is because rook can come down with a check saving the bishop

  • gr8 vid... keep it up

  • I'm not sure Anand was as hellbent on an aggressive game as you suggest. The mating combination you explored was only semi-serious. One needs forced lines to make 21. Bg6, of course, but it was certainly before 15. f3 that Anand foresaw 21... Ne7 as ending the action in that line.

The amazing thing to me therefore is Anand's ability to forecast a position 10 moves down the line that wan't a forced win, but rather simply a decisive ending. He's like a computer with end game tables, amazing.

  • at why at 5:02 not Bb2?

  • What do you think of Rxe6 around 5:20? Then 1...Rd7 2. Rb8+ Rd8 3. Rxd8+ Kxd8 4. Bxf7 and he still has the bishop trapped on g2.

  • at ca 5.00, couldn't white move Bb2? Attack both rooks?
