Stop lowering the hammer with your thumb! Sigs can fire when the hammer is dropped by your thumb instead of using the decocker. Im sure youre just doing it becuz its kool.... but its a bad habit to start. The decocking lever blocks the firing pin from being struck when its used. Lowering the hammer with your thumb does not activate the firing pin block! Very dangerous!
Other wise it was a good review :-)

@556DOS45 You're right, but the same can be said about pretty much any firearm that uses an exposed hammer. I don't do it because its cool, but because its universal, I think a decock lever is actually the cool way. I decock my 1911, P22, P38, and Winchester all the same way. It's the only way to decock a revolver that has an exposed hammer as well, and all these will fire if not done correctly and safely.

I just bought this gun yesterday an it's my first. Ever since my girlfriend and I have been loving together it's been something I've wanted as piece of mind. I look forward to using it at my local range and I hope I made a good choice. Turner's had a Glock .40 they were recommending but I didn't like the lighter feel of it. I saw the Sigs on the other end of the store and I thought they all looked great. As a first time gun owner with no prior experience to compare it to, I hope I have made a g

@GodnCountry65 lol tbh i can live with the dems gun laws i can accept only using a gun for hunting and protection purpose i can accept not being able to buy an assult rifle or not being able to cary my gun into a public place such as a mall or sport function.
what i cannot live with is the medicine companies ruling america and the oil companies and the other rich people who control the republican party.
as i see it dems are for the working man republicans are for the rich.

I bought one of these in .40 a couple of years ago, they are one very nice gun IMO. Really glad to see them re-introduced. I managed to pick up a bunch of California ten-shot mags dirt-cheap for practice when the '2022 faded out in 2010. One of the nicest triggers around in my opinion.
whats the upside to joing the nra?
i have a friend who has been in the nra for years and he gets alot of crazy constertive mail from them telling him to vote republican ect and i think thats just crazy as im a die hard democrat...
and yes i own guns and i hunt and i beleive in the rite to bear arms dont beleive what fox tells you about democrats...

@with33 NRA fights for your second amendment rights specifically. They support individuals based upon gun rights voting records or ideas, not just their political affiliation. They even give Harry Reid, who I think is absolutely hurting American's with his ideology, high marks because of his voting record on gun issues. I know there are democrats who are very pro gun, but they're in the vast minority of that party. Democrats have voting records that tell me what they're all about.

@GungoBANG614 First you need to find a local FFL dealer, they have lists on gunbroker. You will have to purchase or win an auction on a a firearm, then you will send the seller the paperwork for your FFL dealer so that the gun can be shipped to them. They will do the background check and give you your firearm should you pass. Make sure you know your local gun laws. Nanny states will limit the capacity of the magazines and some other crazy regulations.
