www.TexasGunTrust.com and Sean Cody (SC-Texas) review the Surefire MAG5-60 60 round high capacity Magazine (HCM) with Independence Firearms in Brenham, TX. The first part of the video reviews the disassembly and assembly of the 60rd magazine. The magazine is then compared to the P-Mag and the C-Products 40rd magazine.

The video concludes with the magazine being put through the firing cycle. We fired over 660 rounds of PMC 55gr FMJ through the Surefire 60rd magazine. The mmunition was supplied by www.Ammotogo.com and www.GunsToGo.com

This magazine is available in the Houston area at www.PrimaryArms.com, Spectre firearms in tomball and Top Shoit Tactical in Richmond, TX.

The Surefire 60rd HCM is available at Independence Firearms (www.gunstogo.com) in the Brenham, TX area.

  • Sean: Would you be so kind as to answer the following?: Are there ANY parts-in-common with a standard USGI or PMAG?

  • @ZombieTactics There are no parts in common with the usgi Mag

  • @ZombieTactics Definitely NOT California friendly!

  • i have one question, why wasn't it locking the bolt back when it was empty?

  • @sinlessorrow My guess is that the 9.25" is over gassed with the can which increased the bolt velocity beyond the specs that the magazine is designed to work. That said, I do not know. I know it locks the bolt back on my colt AR15s.

  • Great vid man going to go check these out right now

  • @HeavyFuckinMetal2011 Thanks, these work!

  • Awesome, I finally found a vid (yours) that actually shows the internal workings of this awesome magazine.

  • @SCTexas California laws are stupid anyway.

  • @SCTexas Dang ... that kills the "legal rebuild" option for those of us in California.

  • that's a pretty ingenious design. wonder if magpul is ever going to come out with theirs, hopefully it's cheaper. if not, I will eventually get at least on of these. thanx for the vid.
