First song I ever remember in the Forties. My mother taught me the words (I was to young to read) and she would accompany me on the piano. I still have the sheet music. Wonderful Memories! Thanks for this....

Thanks for the memories, My Dad used to sing me to sleep to this in 1957 I was five years old and still brings tears to my eyes miss him lots.

This song has such deep meaning....how luminating it is
...1941...Two years into WWII with bombs dropping all around and somebody's worried about a few crackles, wanna think 'em selves lucky that's all they got to worry about....it all adds to the nostalga...Thanks for posting..!
