The jewelry box in this photo utilizes an inlaid top made from assorted hardwoods, put together in patchwork fashion. Though the design is laid back, the joinery is precise. I'm including the box to show I don't just make period reproductions. I'm equally passionate about contemporary design: and combining many kinds of wood for interesting effects.

Nice looking box. I am just starting to get into inlay work, so I can appreciate how hard it probably was to make that box.
