THE IRISH BLUE CROSS Animal Welfare Charity
Providing veterinary care for 65 years for needy small animals through mobile clinics and the Inchicore based small-animal clinic. Over half a million companion animals have been cared for since the charity's foundation. Currently we are seeing 20,000 cases p.a. We provide an all-Ireland horse ambulance welfare service at all race meetings and at main equine events. This is funded by Horse Racing Ireland, The Irish Racehorse Trainers' Association & the racing fraternity. Volunteer and supporters' time are essential to the delivery of our animal welfare services. We work in co-operation with government officials (Department Agriculture, Fisheries & Food) on the awaited Animal Health and Welfare Bill - crucial for improving animal welfare in Ireland. Donations always greatly welcomed.
