Authentic Christianity

After posting Heaven Sent, I received a number of comments that told me some of these people are confusing groups of Christians.

There is a clear difference between religious Christianity and authentic Christianity. Always has been.

When you blur those clear differences, it is no wonder people have skewed perspectives on Christianity.

So I provide a very concise defining view of those differences while taking a few potshots at evolution.

Again, pushing your God into the gaps of knowledge. Every day those gaps are getting smaller and fewer. One day they will all close, and then where will there be for your God to hide?

Complexity does not equal design.

Oh I gotcha. That's why I'm a big proponent of church/State separation, it's actually helped the church come into it's own.

As private citizens, people (Christians) have the right to petition, and vote for those who will uphold the kind of moral standards that benefit both society and family.

They are against things like pornography, gambling, prositution, that erode the family structure.

Truthfully, church and family are the only two institutions that promote independence anymore.

Well what I mean is the other day I was watching a speech from a Muslim cleric on the difference between "radical Muslim" teachings and "true Muslim" teachings, how they differ. So the video also talks about "Authentic Christianity" and "Religious Christianity" and how they differ.

There is no Christian war, suicide bombings or beheadings going on so I don't understand your suggestion of it sounding like "Radical Muslims."

First, I did my homework. If the Bible is true type of stuff, the evidence was overwhelming. When I made Jesus the Lord of my life, I had a real revelation of Christ - all believers do and develop a personal relationship with Him.

I support separation of church and State, let's keep government out of religion.

I agree with corporations.

This video has not persuade me about Christianity or any other religion, period. It's sounds just like "radical Muslims" and "true Muslims" I heard the other day. There are over a thousand different types of religion out there, how do you know if Christianity is the right one?

Also, they do have the right to push for reforms that are vital to them, BUT not if it have negative effects on others.

Let's keep church and state separate, now if only we can keep corporations and state separate...

Are you a sinner or not?

Jesus said, it's better to cut off your hand or cut out your eye and go to heaven blind or crippled, do you take that literally or do you apply that in context to the rest of scripture.

"Whats the odds of a non physical "being" creating what exists today?" Vanishingly small, I would say. And even if there WERE a creator, that in no way argues that any *particular* creator is the right one. maybe it was Zeus or Thor or Krishna! In my opinion, the beauty and complexity of nature (not "creation") argues AGAINST creartion by YHWH. He hasn't nearly enough subtlety or complexity to create the Amazon Basin. He has only one solution to all human problems: KILL SOMEONE!
