Suicidal/Depressive Black Metal (early) band from Sweden.
Formed in 1996, there was a lot of controversy with the false rumor of Kvarforth's suicide...
Niklas Olsson (Kvarforth) was only 14 years old when the band started to play.
Musicians like Hellhammer and Leere (Silencer), have performed with Shining in the past.
The band has released an EP, 2 Compilations, 3 Splits and 7 Full-Length records.

Shining has changed style throughout time and nowadays the band's current music has nothing to do with the older stuff.
