Quite good, but I'd stick to the guitar parts on the record if I were you, during the verses. Strumming during the verses robs the bridge of its musical impact. I'm not too keen on the OTT improvisation in the vocal part either.

Hey, thanks for your honest comments there.

I prefer plucking the verses too, but playing the guitar melody and singing the verses at the same is not easy and I've been playing this song for quite a few years. It throws off my timing. Its a real bitch actually.. LOL! But I'm still trying to improve on it and I'll post a better version in future, hopefully minus the OTT vocal parts. Thanks again!

Practice makes perfect. When I first learnt this song, I never thought I would be able to play the melody and sing at the same time, but I assure it is possible. To be fair though, I use a pick and the occasional finger, rather than full fingerpicking, as fingerpicking isn't my strong point.

Good job! I agree with fourganger - lose the rock voice (doesn't suit the song) and try to pick the verses. Look forward to part II. :-)
