A great show ! in New Zealand it screened at around 2am, I used to set the VCR (pre-dvd device) to record it, loved it.

Oh...Well, I guess they were supposed to be like robbers. They whole VR story was how they were like outlaws and sisters. The theme of the outlaw, desperate to experience a life of freedom and danger was kinda the theme Sydney used to form a VR bond with Janinne. Finding the show is still a good idea. Everyone can benefit from VR5

I meant the part where they were dressed up like gun molls and drove a sweet car around... then colours started changing...

No they weren't gangsters. Basically the other girl is named Janinne a bank teller down on her luck. Sydney catches her stealing money when she goes to get her check cashed. She then uses VR5 to get into her head and this particular fantasy was a "Thelma and Louise" type sisterhood coupled with a convienance robbery where she appeals to Janinne's psyche in an attempt to gain her trust so she can help her.
This show sucked when it first aired and still does.
