Ok, there has been some confusion, so if you don't understand the video that much, read the following to help clear things up:

There was a war, in which Jarayra was in. There were these 3 orphans that asked them for food (nagato, yahiko and konan), and Jarayra felt bad for them, and decided to take them in for a while. then one night, a rock junin (very strong level) attacked Yahiko and Nagato; Yahiko got injured and nagato released the rinnegan out of pure rage (he has no idea how he did so). after that, jarayra felt that it was vital to teach them ninjutsu, so they could fend for themselves. after three years of training, the three were able to beat one of jrayra's shadow clones in battle, and jarayra said it was time for them to leave. Nagato swore that he would always protect his friends. After they left, Yahiko got killed by some ninja (we don't know who yet, or how long after they left jarayra), and nagato found out that he could keep a person alive by implanting chackra receivers in their body, and controlling them. so he did with yahiko. nagato is hiding somewhere, controlling his body, while konan is a partner of pain (she knows what happened to Yahiko, and that nagato is controlling pain). then, negato found out that he could control more people, and decided to take on 5 more bodys, and then pain ridukou was created. pein ridukou, is when all six bodys of pain or out fighitng. since all the chackra receivers are coming from nagato, he can implant the rinnegan into all of his body's, and they can all see what each other sees. This also gives them all complete communication, and an excellent meneuver. when one pain body dies, nagato can get one pain to implant chackra receivers into another body, and then a new pain is born. all 6 pains have different abilites, which nagato has spread through them. we dont know where nagato is hiding, but we do know that his yahiko body is the most precious one. then, madara seeked out pain, and asked him to be the leader of akatsuki, and madara is really tobi. so pain is the leader of akatsuki, but in reality madara/tobi is pulling all the strings. but we don't know if madara knows that pain is really nagato. so far, the only people who knows of pain's true identities are: konan, pain (duh), jarayra (killed by pain), and the whole konoha village knows of pein, but not of his true identity yet. Naruto will probably figure it out prettty soon though. did that help clear things up? =)

Here is another good question that I got through mail. What is Akatsuki's reason for collecting the tailed-beasts? And what are the tailed-beasts made out of, or where are they born from?

The 9 tail beast demons are age-old natural disasters that can appear out of nowhere and go into areas where human malice collects and festers. There are reasons for collecting the tailed beasts, but everyone has a different reason why they want their power.

Madara's Reason: He wants to take their power, and strengthen his Mangekyo Sharingan.

Pain's Reason: He wants to create a deadly kinjutsu that can destroy one of the five great countries in an instant. Then when the other countries found out about it, they would buy it. The whole world would be devastated by the new weapon, most of the other people would be dead, and the mutual fear would make everyone never want to go to war. Thus, his true goal by this is to create everlasting peace.

However, Pain's reason greatly interfere's with Madara's reason. Since Madara tells Pain what to do, it is thought that Madara doesn't know of Pain's true goal; only Konan, Pain, and Nagato know. But we still aren't sure if Nagato is stronger than Madara or not. So I think it will get interesting when they get all 9 tailed-beast, if they do.

@diegushio91 yes tobi is not madara but you are wrong saying there is 5 madaras there is only one i catched up with manga ep and so far there is only one never herd of more than that and madara came back to life.. before kabuto tryed to get madara back to life some guy who was friend with him took madara body from kabuto and brought him back know we all can be sure tobi is just a dumbass who lied faking he was madara and he is about to get his ass kicked

@felipede0107 u almost got it too, is the idea of madara and madara is an ideal too. but yes. he did made the akatsukis. tobi isn't the same madara, there are 5 madaras yet. i hope this is useful for u :)

pein acually can easily be killed one of his paths can ressurect anyone includeing the other paths. But he cant ressurect someone he dosent have in his possion thats why a new body was used for animal path It claims to reason as well even if all 6 paths were defeated pain could easily get 6 more if he bidded his time.
