Ride down to the "Painted Desert" and back 900 years. Wukoki is the Hopi word for "Big House". This ruin was a sophisticated multi-story, multi-family red brick house built in 1100 AD. It's design is way ahead of it's time, and is exemplary organic architecture. A dramatic departure from Pueblo-style habitat.

  • see a great ride, into the future of architecture, " organic architecture terra homage".

  • i've been to on ruins sit but i can't remeber the name of it the ruins where aligned with the sun and you could tell the time by the way the shadow layed across the ruins. there was still 30 foot walls standing and the ruins were about 2000 years old i don't know the name of them though. i was there only to work and help preserve them.

  • Great video! The shadow at 4:13 looks like a crouching kachina!
