Downtown Windsor Truck Fire

An evening cruise intended to show off a Windsor man's restored pickup truck took a turn for the worse when it suddenly burst into flames.
Windsor Fire and Rescue Services responded to the corner of Ouellette Avenue and Park Street around 6 p.m. Saturday for a black Ford pickup fully engulfed in flames.
A witness said the driver pulled the pickup truck to the traffic lights in front of Peppers Bar and Grill when the vehicle suddenly stalled.
"A whole bunch of people helped him move it around the corner," said the witness, who didn't want her full name released.
"He lifted the hood to figure out how to turn the car back on and as soon as he lifted it up the engine caught on fire."
Windsor police said the cause of the fire was electrical and it was quickly brought under control.
According to witnesses, the driver said this was his first time out in the truck and he had recently invested a lot of time and money in restoring the vehicle.

Keep in mind the fire department personnel probably had to respond TO the station before taking the truck to the fire. Impatient people don't generally understand that's how it is in 80% of fire companies. Fire fighters have to fight through traffic to get to their trucks, and you'll be surprised how many people stubbornly refuse to get out of the way of firefighters responding to the station in their personal vehicles. That just delays the fire truck getting to the fire... it's sad.

I dont know what everyone is whineing about, The fire dept arrived, the driver stretched the front bumper preconnect, they crew packed up, bled the line and put the fire out. Geeze, It was a nice job on their part.
