The Paralympic torch is coming to Vancouver Island, and a wounded veteran from the island is gearing up for the relay.
It's nearly four ago years to the day that Nanaimo's Trevor Greene was serving in Afghanistan when he was attacked.
The resulting brain injury changed his life, and doctors didn't hold much hope.
Since then, Greene has overcome tremendous obstacles and now he's looking forward to carrying the Paralympic flame to honour his comrades.
As the torch relay makes its way through Esquimalt and Victoria on Saturday, it promises to be exciting and inspiring.
