Christine Lagarde (born in 1956) is Minister for the Economy, Industry and Employment of France. She is the first woman being appointed Finance and Economy Minister of a G7 country and was nominated Best Finance Minister 2009 of the European Union by the Financial Times.

In 1981, after lecturing law at Paris X University, Lagarde joined Baker & McKenzie, where she was appointed managing partner in 1991 and was elected Chairman of the Global Executive Committee in 1999. In 2005, she became Minister for Foreign Trade of France and served as Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries for a short period in 2007. Lagarde holds a postgraduate degree with emphasis on business and labour law from Paris University in law. In 2004, she was decorated with Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur.




Gita Wirjawan (born in 1965) is Chairman of Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), the major interface between the Indonesian government and business. Due to his involvement in key investment banking with global players such as JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs, he has gained a thorough understanding of corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions. Prior to his appointment to BKPM, the investment banker founded and served as Chairman of Ancora Capital, a private equity fund based in Jakarta. Additionally, he worked for JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs in Southeast Asia.

Furthermore, he is a passionate composer and musician who produced 14 albums in different musical genres. Gita Wirjawan was educated at the University of Texas as well as Baylor University, Texas, and graduated from Harvard Kennedy School with a Master in Public Administration.




Martin Wolf (born in 1946) is Associate Editor and Chief Economics Commentator at The Financial Times (FT). In 2010, he was also appointed a member of the United Kingdom government's Independent Commission on Banking. Before joining the FT, Wolf worked at the World Bank as well as at the Trade Policy Research Centre in London. Through his lifelong experience, he has developed a profound expertise in the field of economics and was placed twice on the list of the Top 100 Global Thinkers by Foreign Policy.

He was awarded Commander of the British Empire and is a joint winner of the Wincott Foundation senior prize. Wolf obtained a Master of Philosophy in economics from Oxford University and received several Honorary Doctorates at, amongst others, Warwick University and the London School of Economics.




David Marsh (born in 1952) is Co-Chairman of the Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF) and Chairman of the management consultancy SCCO. The activities of the OMFIF are crystallised around two areas: improving the effectiveness of individual public sector institutions through better asset and liability management as well as increasing the cohesiveness of the new supervisory and regulatory arrangements. From 1978 to 1995, Marsh worked for the Financial Times as a journalist.

With his profound knowledge of financial systems, Marsh authored many books including The Euro -- The Politics of the New Global Currency in 2009. Being deputy chairman of the German-British Forum, he was awarded the German Order of Merit in 2003 and was made Commander of the British Empire in 2000. Marsh studied chemistry at Oxford University.
