Intriguingly though it was Matthew Elliott (who got 160 odd) who got the nod for the first 2 tests, before he blew out his knee and Hayden replaced him.

Ahh the days when the Aussie A side was basically as good as the test side. They would probably have pumped most other test sides. We had a lot of depth. These days its slim pickings.
