They scrapped the drift sound because Nintendo wanted MKDS to be boring. I thinj the character screen is a faster version of teh MKDD menu

Wow. Red rods everywhere, bumpers scattered, even a slot machine you could ride?! Red rods are pointless and unrealistic. Probably why they removed them. The bumpers are also now only in the pinball table section to be more realistic. I wish they kept the slot machine... but of course, that was unrealistic, too, so it was removed to make it seem more like a real pinball table.
