Video showing how the stock gyro behaves on a Blade 400 helicopter. I was explaining how it behaved to someone on a forum and they didn't seem to believe me - so I posted this video.
Ive just got me a Blade 400, and ive set it up as per everything you've said. However, im having a problem with the HH. In flight, its wandering to, say the left, and ill give it one move on trim to counter, then it slowly creeps to the right.
I cant get it to hold true. Any suggestions please?
Go back and read SOKAL's comment again. HH mode won't center sitting on a table. It's working as expected - at least with locked rotation. Get it in the air and HH will be just fine.
EXACTLY! finally someone who genuinely knows the electronics of a blade 400 and not just name dropping on buy this and buy that because some other guy said it was better!!! Thanks man!!!
Assuming you dont have any strange settings on your TX like uneven travel adjust I would say it's a combination of the usual crap eflite gyro & servo problems. Replace your gyro with a futaba GY401, your tail servo with a reasonable quality one like a Hitec HS56 & mount the tail servo on the boom like a trex & you will find the bulk of the problems will vanish. I did the same thing on my blade & it solved the same issues.

that would be normal for both settings
in rate mode the servo will center rate mode being les then 50% in gyro gain
and in Heading hold mode it wont center due to the fact is sitting on a table and it isnt sensing and yaw movment HH mode is anything above 50%
