The big bang was not an explosion. It was a rapid expansion of time and space.

But seeing as that's a rather lenghty description for a headline in a paper. Someone started calling it big bang, and the name stuck.

I think it's funny that people refuse to consider that the energy that begot the Big Bang and God aren't the same thing. I mean - God is infinite, omnipresent, etc - right?

Science is not the act of disproving God's existence, it's just trying to explain how things work.

Oh... and it is ridiculous comparing a nuclear explosion to the creation of a watch - c'mon.

why do creationists keep confusing the theory of evolution with abiogenesis. The theory of evolution has no dealing whatsoever with the beginning of life, but how forms of life evolve into other forms. Abiogenesis is the event which forms life from non-organic matter.

so in the WHOLE known history...where science couldnt explain...IT WAS GOD...

1st the ATOM was only a theory...now we can even divide an ATOM

An "Explosion"???

Ah, yes - A creationist talking about science when they have no CLUE what science is.

Big Bang is the EXPANSION of space/time. NOT an explosion and NOT space AND time... It's... EXPANSION of Space/Time.

They just can never seem to get that.

And yes, according to Einstein, Sagan, and Hawking, space/time can expand at a speed greater than the speed of light. What violates the laws of physics is anything traveling THROUGH space/time faster than speed of light.
