Beautiful voices. Incredible voices. Extraordinary. And just think -- they were only 16 and 17 years old at this time.

Bellissimo. Incredibile. Straordinario. E rifletteteci -- in quel momento avevano soltanto 16 e 17 anni.

The DVD also has mainly closeups of the guys, with a lot of side angles showing the walls of the opera house. The Detroit Opera House has 17 opera boxes suspended underneath the huge balcony. It first opened in 1922 as a 4,250 seat Vaudeville Theatre... now a spacious 2,765 seats opera house since 1996, with rich gold and blue Italian Renaissance walls and ceiling.... and the acoustics explain why the 3 Tenors and Andrea Bocelli sang here. The guys are humbled that they sang among the greats!

@gusjet1 Google "IL VOLO TAKES FLIGHT" for details. The choreography and atmospherics of the taping.... awesome!
To me it seems like "cruel and inhumane" punishment that the folks in Detroit and the 1,000 cities in Canada that get the WTVS Detrot Public TV Cable Channel can see IL VOLOs first ever concert on December 7, while the rest of the USA has to wait until March 3, 2012... and lord knows how long the rest of the world has to wait.. inhumane I tell ya!
Perhaps a call to your local PBS station complaining about the inhumanity wouldn't hurt?? Or maybe drop a line to Interscope/Geffen/A&M... ;-)

@GerRoland I take it you don't live in the Detroit area as do I. This show will be a late Birthday present for me, as my birthday is the 3rd of December. I will be taping it. And yes you are right about them taking over my mind they have certainly have taken mine over lol. I can't go a day without listening to them. They simply sweep me off my feet.
