They should of included this, and the part where Dudley says he doesn't think Harry's a waste of space. It wouldn't of made much difference to the length.

you can see that even vernon cares when he refuses to respond to the waste of space comment...like hes silently saying "no your not" just like in the book he was about to shake harry's hand but couldnt bring hinself to do it

As much as I feel that it should have made the final cut, I can't really see how they could fit it in given the sequence order they did the intro in.

no, i think it's a legit deleted scene, but they wanted the intro after the minister to start with the newspaper in hermione's room. because the car starts at the end of this scene and the first time we see the dursleys in the final cut of the movie, they're packing in the car.

I dont think that was a deleted scene. I think it was just an alternate scene that they tried and decided not to put in the movie or the extras. I could be wrong though.
