High definition video: This is the opening theme to "Love is a Many Splendored Thing" that was being used circa 1971. I am playing a Lowrey Imperial organ. Thanks to Anthony Cozzolino from Maestro Music Center in Levittown, NY for programming the sound. Compare with http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYZEfhWmP8w and with the first 17 seconds of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZQ1uxKl6NY&NR=1

  • how do you get the chime-type sounds?

  • @blozier2006 Actually, those weren't chime sounds. The percussive effects were a combination of piano and crystal bell.

  • Looking forward to hearing you do the closing version, with Eddie Layton's wonderful take on what would be sung as "hi - igh ah - and windy hill," and the clever addition of the sixth after the final "thing." I LOVE his version of the song.

  • @ChipL955 Yes, I've been practicing the long closing theme! I'll eventually record it and get it posted!
