Part 2 of 2. This video was created by Taro Ariga (e-bogu.com Inc. CEO - Kendo Renshi 7 Dan) as part of KENDO101 series that e-bogu.com will start releasing soon. It shows how to assemble the leather parts of a Kendo Shinai (Tsukagawa, Sakigawa, Sakigomu, Tsuru, Nakayui). "We get a lot of inquiries on how to assemble Shinais, and we have been developing manuals, but I thought using the DVD would be the most comprehensive way to explain the details." (Taro Ariga) Very easy to understand, with step-by-step description. Feel free to distribute around. Location: e-bogu.com Inc. Warehouse Material: 1) Top quality Shinai leather Kit set (http://www.e-bogu.com/Top_quality_Shinai_leather_parts_Kit_p/ebo-ken-shi-tqshiaipartkit-.htm) 2) Top Quality MADAKE Shinai - "TOSA BESSAKU" Size 39 (Bamboo Only) (http://www.e-bogu.com/Shinai_TOSA_Bamboo_Only_p/hay-ken-shi-tosabamb-39.htm) For any questions, please visit www.e-bogu.com

  • Thank you for this video!

A friend tried explaining it to me, but it's like you said: watching this is better!

  • How do you measure for a new tsuba? On the web site there are different sizes but I dont know what size to get?

  • Sry, should've watched the whole video before commenting :P

The Ariga method was pretty awesome. I'm going to untie my naka-yui (i think it's a bit low anyways) and will try with Ariga's method!

  • I absolutely agree with the "Watch, than me explaining" part. 'cuz if someone would explain to me, with words, how to tie the naka-yui...I wouldnt understand anyyything.
