I love the Bucks Fizz version of this song and although this version pales in comparison, its still a very interesting version
-
@rainsonadam The Bucks Fizz version was released 1984 on the I Hear Talk album, and this one was I think Oct 87.
-
Faultless song Shame no producer (video or auoio) seemed to understand them. at the time.
-
This tune pales into total insignificance compared to what Cry No More came out with later (actually - let's face it: this song is pretty weak). Sadly, they never received the recognition they deserved - of all the bands I've ever seen, this one (and Danny Wilson) should have got greater recognition. The dice never landed in their favour. Sorry, boys, that I only saw you at the Turks Head - wish it had been Wembley.

Ah! The Southampton, R.I.P. - sob!! Structurally unsafe my arse!

You called ??? and dont forget the Surbiton Southampton choir either
I think this is fantastic!
Not all 80's stuff wears well but this does!
People are mentioning a version by Bucks Fizz but surely this is the original?

@soulkiss68 to clarify....this version is by the original Co-writer (with Anthony Philips), Roy Hill. It was written in 1983...Bucks Fizz therefore did a Cover version in 1984
