This clip from the 2006 film, "Stranger Than Fiction," shows the two main characters on a Chicago Transit Authority bus (called in the film the "MTA"). The bus is obviously an articulated one, but what is interesting here is the joke they filmmakers used - having the bus make many left turns.

  • does anyone know if the wristwatch is for real or special effects?

  • I think there are many parts of the film which are special effects.

  • lol "i... o-o-ogled you."

Great movie, surprisingly deep for Will Ferrel.

  • Ana Pasquel was great. "Big flag burning to get to?" "Actually, it's my weekly evil conspiracy and needlepoint group. Want to come?" "I left my thimbles and socialist reading material at home."

  • I am like an Ana, and I am falling for a Harold. It's quite lovely. Girls, don't overlook Harolds, they are amazing!

  • @Moniker179 The watch featured in the movie is a Timex Men's Watch #T56371 - Ironman Triathlon 42 Lap Combo Dual Tech, though in the film, the watches LCD display is CG enhanced to present clearer graphics. The actual watch is a simple 9 segment per character LCD alphanumeric mode display with three lines and some special-indicators. ripped from imdb . com

  • i never noticed the left-turn thing before.

  • I never really liked Maggie Gyllenhaal before, but after seeing this movie I fell in love with her haha

  • I'm the bald headed guy behind the stainless steel post when Maggie Gyllenhaal gets on the bus. From what I've seen, this is not the scene that is in the final film. We rode the same bus, around the same block, for two days.

  • @wwaarrddy yeah, absolutely!

  • You have....very straight teeth...I burst out laughing the first time I saw this. A film for book lovers. Does that make sense?

  • I watched this movie in my creative writing class last year :D it's quite amazing.
